Largest Canadian Junior Open ever set to begin Saturday

OTTAWA, ON, December 12, 2018 – History will be made when the 2018 Canadian Junior Open starts this Saturday December 8, 2018 with 300 players taking to the courts at the beautiful The Club at White Oaks in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

This annual event brings together many top junior players from around the world.  “We are thrilled to see the growth and excitement around the 2018 Canadian Junior Open”, said Dan Wolfenden, Squash Canada Executive Director.  “The high-level competition and hosting excellence reputation has attracted 105 international players representing 16 different nations along with 195 of Canada’s top talented young players.  The demand actually exceeded our capacity, and we have had to disappoint some wait listed players despite extending most playing days from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.”

Squash Canada is also pleased to enhance the “fan experience” by taking advantage of “live scoring” via Club Locker.  This new feature will allow anyone with a smartphone, tablet, etc. to monitor match scores whether you are at the event or not.  To access live scoring throughout the event – as well as to view full draws, schedules and more please visit

In addition, all four days will be featured via “live online streaming” via SQUASHSTREAMTV (Courts 6/7) –  We encourage you to watch the action and cheer on your favourite players.
