National Titles On The Line At the 2017 Canadian Squash Championships

2017-05-06

A new Men's Open champion will be crowned in Canadina squash as first-time finalists Mike McCue and Nick Sachvie will meet in the championship match of the 2017 Canadian Squash Championships.  After winning their way to their first ever semi-final appearances, both McCue and Sachvie earned their place in the finals with defeats over previous Canadian Men's Open champions.

The Women's Open sees a repeat of the 2016 Championship match as reigning champ Hollie Naughton squares off against 2016 finalist Danielle Letourneau.  Naughton entered the 2017 event as the top seed and demonstrated all week why she held that spot.  Letourneau makes her second return to the finals stage and looks to stop Naughton from back-to-back championships.

The Women's third place match is filled with more great Canadian talent as 2015 champion Samantha Cornett faces 2016 fourth place finisher Nikki Todd.  2016 Men's champion, Andrew Schnell, faces his 2016 finals opponent, Shawn De Lierre, in the Men's third place match.
