DAY SEVEN RECAP:

Canada captures a Silver Medal in Women's Team and a Bronze in Men's Team to close out the 2019 Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru with a record breaking total of seven medals.

Women's Team Pool Play

  • Championships Finals: Canada lost to USA 3-0
  • Semifinals: Canada defeated Colombia 3-0

Men's Team Pool Play

  • Semifinals: Canada lost to Colombia 3-0


 


DAY SIX RECAP:

Canada has advanced to the Men's and Women's Team Competition Semifinals!!

Men's Team Pool Play

  • Canada defeated Peru 2-1

Women's Team Pool Play

DAY FIVE RECAP:

Men's Team Pool Play

  • Canada defeated El Salvador (3-0)
  • Canada defeated Argentina (3-0)

Women's Team Pool Play

  • Canada defeated Guyana (3-0)
  • Canada defeated Colombia (2-1)
Day Five ended with both our Men's and Women's teams advancing to the Quarterfinals.  The Women will play Chile in their Team Encounter and the Men will play the winner of Peru vs El Salvador in their Team Encounter.  Good luck to our teams!

Men's Doubles - Championship Final:

  • Nick Sachvie/Shawn Delierre (CAN) lost to Todd Harrity/Christopher Hanson (USA)

Women's Doubles - Championship Final:

  • Sam Cornett/Danielle Letourneau lost to Amanda Sobhy/Sabrina Sobhy (USA)

Women's Team Pool Play

  • Canada defeated Peru  (3-0)

Canada has captured a total of 5 medals so far at Lima 2019 --- two Bronze medals in Women's Individual (Sam Cornett and Hollie Naughton), Bronze medal in Mixed Doubles (Hollie Naughton/Andrew Schnell), Silver medal in Men's Doubles (Nick Sachvie/Shawn Delierre) and Silver medal in Women's Doubles (Sam Cornett/Danielle Letourneau).  The squad now turn their focus to the Team Competition and are aiming to bring home more medals!!
