Squash Ontario Hires New Executive Director

    Squash Ontario is very pleased to announce the hiring of Jamie Nicholls as its new Executive Director starting September 21, 2015.

     “Our hiring committee and the entire board feel Jamie has the right balance of squash and business acumen to take squash to the next level in Ontario. Jamie has solid experience as a coach, player, club owner, volunteer and fundraiser. We are very fortunate we could land someone with this level of experience and passion for the role” said Jan Lardner, President of Squash Ontario on Wednesday.

From there we will set our sights on increasing participation numbers across Ontario for all ages and levels and take squash from the periphery to its rightful place as one of the healthiest and enjoyable sports on the planet,” added Jamie Nicholls on his new position.

    Steve Wren, Acting Executive Director of Squash Canada added his congratulations, "On behalf of Squash Canada we congratulate both Jamie and the Squash Ontario Board for this significant appointment. Jamie has earned himself a stellar reputation among Canada's squash playing community at all levels, in particular with juniors and high performance athletes. Besides his experienced squash abilities, Jamie is an effective communicator, extremely committed to his tasks, and approaches life with a quick wit and to keeping it fun. We look forward to working in conjunction with Jamie and the Squash Ontario staff to gain cohesive progress on a number of projects for both Squash Ontario and Squash Canada”.
