Canada Defeats Sweden At World Junior Team Championships

    OTTAWA (ON) – Team Canada played Sweden today at the World Junior Team Championships in Windhoek, Namibia. David Baillargeon defeated Pontus Rengbo in the top seeded match winning the first 3 games 11-9, 11-8 and 11-7. In the second seeded match it took Jarryd Osbourne 20 minutes to defeat Tor Christoffersen in the best of 3 with the scores ending at 14-12, 11-13 and 11-3. Michael Thompson defeated Alexander Lundqvist in the third seed match winning three games in a row 11-8, 11-4, and 15-13.

    Canada will battle Argentina tomorrow in order for a 13th place finish. The matches will begin at 1:00 pm.
