All competitors in Canadian Squash Championships OPEN division must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and members in good standing of their respective Provincial/Territorial Squash Association. Competitors in the Companion and Masters events must be members in good standing of their respective Provincial/Territorial Squash Association, or that of their home territory for international participants.

Notwithstanding a competitor may be a member in good standing with their respective Provincial/Territorial Squash Association, where a competitor is subject to a sanction imposed by the Host Club, Squash Canada shall respect that sanction, including any sanction which may preclude the person from entering the premises and thus participating in the Championships provided the sanction was imposed using fair procedures. Specifically, the sanctioned person must have been informed by the Host Club of the nature of the infraction and have been given the opportunity to provide information concerning the incident prior to the sanction being imposed.

Seeding Policy

For Open events, the seeding will be determined by a combination of PSA/WSA and Squash Canada rankings. The top 25% of each draw will be seeded. Based on a 32 Draw, the first eight seeds will be in accordance with the current PSA/WSA ranking within the range of 100 PSA / 70 WSA respectively. The remaining seeds will be in accordance with the current Squash Canada rankings. Should there not be eight players from the professional rankings within the range, then Squash Canada rankings will determine the remaining seeds. The committee may, in exceptional circumstances and with documented evidence, award a seed to an athlete who would otherwise not be seeded.

For "A" events, the seeding will be in accordance with Squash Canada rankings. The top 25% of each draw will be seeded. The committee may, in exceptional circumstances and with documented evidence, award a seed to an athlete who would otherwise not be seeded.

Cycling shorts, tank tops, boxing trunks, and the like are NOT considered to be appropriate squash attire.
