World No.3 Amina Orfi (EGY) capped off a remarkable run in Toronto as she defeated World No.10 Georgina Kennedy (ENG) to capture the 2025 Canadian Women’s Open title at Brookfield Place. The 18-year-old arrived in Toronto on Sunday, October 26, less than 24 hours after playing the final of the Comcast Business U.S. Open in Philadelphia, and as the tournament’s top seed, she didn’t drop a single game on her way to lifting the trophy.
In the Toronto Athletic Club Open 2025, Leonel Cardenas (MEX) retained the title after overcoming the second seed, Yahya Elnawasany (EGY), in straight games.
Both finals marked the climax of an exceptional week of squash on the all-glass Jonathon Power Court at Brookfield Place. Enthusiastic crowds and onlookers were captivated by the remarkable skill and athleticism on display from start to finish. Standout moments included Hollie Naughton (CAN) overcoming Nour Heikal (EGY) after a two-game deficit, teen sensation Anahat Singh (IND) downing the defending champion Tinne Gilis (BEL), and the official return of Alberta’s Danielle Ray.
