Champions Reunite as 2026 Raymond James Canadian Doubles & Mixed Doubles Championships Presented by Slaight Music Make History at the Badminton & Racquet Club

The Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto has a history with the Canadian Doubles Championships, having previously hosted the event in 1999 and again in 2013. Now, for the third time, the Toronto club welcomes the championship back to its courts, April 7 to 12, for its most significant iteration yet. For the first time ever, the Canadian Doubles and Mixed Doubles Championships will be held together as one event, bringing some of the most decorated names in Canadian squash to the court.  

Among the returning champions, are reigning Canadian Champions, Robin Clarke and Nikki Todd, Todd also being the reigning Mixed Doubles Champion. The legendary Gary Waite returns to the Men’s Open, adding another marquee name to the draw. Stephanie Hewitt, who already carries 17 Canadian Doubles titles into the week, will compete across the Women’s and Mixed Open divisions. 

In the Masters divisions, Lolly GillenSean McDonough and Anne Smith represent some of the most decorated careers in Canadian doubles history. Gillen, who holds a remarkable 29 Canadian titles across Doubles and Mixed Doubles and will be inducted into the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame the eve of the Mixed Doubles Championship finale, will bring her championship energy to the Mixed 70+. Joining her is Smith, a seven-time Canadian Doubles champion, while McDonough, a staggering 16-time champion, will be in contention for the Men’s 70+ title.
