As players from coast-to-coast return to the courts after the summer season, Squash Canada is pleased to share the confirmed national championship calendar for the 2026 – 2027 season.
The 2026 Canadian Junior Open will host junior players from Canada and around the world to Niagara-on-the-Lake from December 12 – 1 5. Celebrating its 30th year, matches will play out at the Mark Sachvie Squash Centre at White Oaks Resort & Spa and the Jack Aylott Centre at Ridley College.
In the new year, Masters players will head west to Calgary, Alberta, joining their provincial teams for the 2027 Canadian Masters Team Championship, taking place January 22 – 24 and hosted by Dean Brown and Darren Thompson at Bow Valley Athletic Club. Meanwhile, post-secondary students will make their way to McGill University for the third consecutive year to compete in the 2027 Canadian University & College Championships, shouldered by Lialah Mavani.
Following a busy January, attention shifts to the 2027 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships (March 4 – 7), hosted at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) for the very first time, under the direction of Head Professional Dane Sharp.
April keeps the focus on doubles as Vancouver’s Evergreen Squash Club hosts the 2027 Canadian Doubles Championships, bringing the event back to BC for the first time since 2018. Competition will span two weekends, with skill divisions (A, B and C) running April 2 – 4, followed by the Open and Masters categories from April 8 – 11. 2025 Canadian Champion, Liam Marrison will serve as tournament director.
The season culminates in Montreal with the return of the Canadian Championships to Club Atwater. The Junior Championships will take place May 8 – 11, followed by the Senior Championships from May 13 – 16. Both events will be hosted at Club Atwater, with the Jonathon Power Court presented by Slaight Music also set to take centre stage inside the Montréal Forum.
With a full season of competition ahead, the 2026 – 2027 National Championship Calendar will bring players from across the country together at courts and clubs across Canada.
