“With sadness, we bid farewell to our dear friend in squash, Mrs. Susan Swift. The Squash Canada Staff and Board of Directors, send our sincere condolences to Sue’s husband, Tony, her 3 children and Sue and Tony’s extended family, in this great loss,” said Squash Canada President Steve Wren. “Sue was an integral contributor in the growth of squash in Canada through the 70’s and 80’s; as a national champion player, a professional squash coach, a World Championship host, a founder of her home province’s squash association, and she was also the President of our national squash organization. Amongst such inspiring accomplishments, Sue remained a treasured friend to all who came into her accompaniment. Throughout the later stages of Sue’s life, she still frequented major Canadian squash events along with Tony, simply for her pure love of the sport and its people. Sue will be sorely missed, yet Sue’s lovely spirit and warm smile will remain with us. Good bye dear Sue, from us all.”
