Squash Canada is pleased to announce The Club at White Oaks and Ridley College as the host of the 2024 Canadian Junior Open presented by Forthlane Partners, which will be held December 7 – 10, 2024, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The Canadian Junior Open is the most prestigious international junior squash tournament held annually in Canada. Information and registration are now available via Club Locker.
“Squash Canada is excited to host players from across Canada and the globe for the 2024 Canadian Junior Open,” says Squash Canada CEO Jamie Nicholls. “We are thrilled to see our junior athletes compete at the Mark Sachvie Squash Centre at The Club at White Oaks, and the brand-new Jack Aylott Squash Centre at Ridley College. These five additional courts at Ridley College, including one glass court, will allow for more matches and a more relaxed schedule overall. Participants will look forward to enjoying a heightened playing, spectator, and broadcast experience with the return of the all-glass Power Court, named in honour of the Canadian World Champion Jonathon Power by benefactors The Syra Group and the Singh Family.”

Additionally, the Canadian Junior Open will once again include a Women’s and Men’s NextGen Satellite PSA event for our developmental players to earn valuable PSA ranking points. Registration for the NextGen Satellite event will be based on PSA rankings and will have $1000 in prize money for each division.
Categories will include:
- Girls and Boys U11/U13/U15 – cap is 48 players per category
- Girls and Boys U17/U19 – cap is 64 players per category

ATHLETES – MANDATORY PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE NOTE that players will be moved to the wait list if they have not completed the requirements, and only returned to the main draw on completion.
To be eligible to participate in the Canadian Junior Open, all players that are Canadian citizens and/or Canadian residents must complete the following:
- Adhere to the Policies and Procedures of Squash Canada, including but not limited to: Tournament Policies Matrix, Anti-Doping Policy, Release of Liability Waiver of Claims and Indemnity, Photo and Video Consent Waiver, UCCMS (Universal Code of Conduct to prevent and address Maltreatment in Sport), Competition Manipulation Policy, Concussion Policy and Code of Conduct.
- Complete the Abuse-Free Sport Participant Consent Form, which is required by Abuse-Free Sport and Sport at this link: Abuse Free Sport: Participant Consent Form (sportconsent.ca)
- All players under the age of 19 must have a Parent/Guardian sign on their behalf
- All players 19 years or older must sign on their own behalf.
- All players aged 14 years or older must be certified as a Club Referee or higher. Cost is $35 and requires an NCCP# to access the CAC The Locker. Online Referee Certification.
- All players aged 14 years or older must complete CAC Safe Sport training. No cost and requires an NCCP# to access CAC’s The Locker. CAC Safe Sport Training.
