Squash Canada is pleased to announce the National Junior Circuit (NJC) schedule for 2025 – 2026.
This year, the number of NJC Platinum events has been expanded to 7, and the minimum divisor will increase to 4 on November 1, 2025. There will be 11 NJC Gold events. As previously, the points available in the NJC Platinum events will be higher than the points in the NJC Gold events. Please see the points table here.
The National Junior Circuit is designed for high-performance juniors in the U15, U17 and U19 age categories in the “Train to Train” and “Train to Compete” stages of the Long-Term Development model that have graduated through provincial/territorial and/or regional pathways and are now competing at the national level. The National Junior Circuit rankings will be used to select athletes for events such as World Junior, Pan Am Junior, and Battle of the Border teams, as well as for International Event endorsements (USJO, BJO, etc.).
The National Junior Circuit ranking system runs in tandem with the existing Canadian junior rankings based upon Club Locker ratings, which recognize all eligible Canadian juniors including U13 and U11 categories. Juniors therefore have two opportunities to be ranked: amongst all Canadian juniors, and then how they rank against other top juniors who are vying for international selection.
Please note that players wishing to play up must register in their respective age division and then request to move divisions by email to the tournament organizer and info@squash.ca before the closing date. Please review the section titled “Competing in Higher Age Divisions” in the NJC Policy.
For information on how the National Junior Circuit (NJC) ranking system works please read more here. We ask all affected athletes to review this NJC Policy for familiarity.
*Note: Dates and locations are subject to change. Please check the Club Locker tournament pages for updates.
We look forward to seeing all the great matches at these upcoming events. If you have any questions about the National Junior Circuit, please contact Samantha Cornett Singh at samantha.cornett@squash.ca.
