Squash Canada is proud to welcome Altas Partners back as a Platinum Partner for the 2025 Canadian Women’s Open (CWO) set to take place October 25–30 on the Power Court in Toronto’s Brookfield Place. As a premier silver-level event on the PSA World Tour, the CWO returns to Toronto’s Brookfield Place for the 3rd year and continues to grow, attracting the top female squash players in the world.
A Squash Canada platinum partner since 2021, Altas Partners has played a key leadership role in bringing world-class squash back to the downtown Toronto core. Founded in 2012, Altas Partners is known for its distinctive, long-term investment philosophy. With a focused and selective approach, the firm takes on a finite number of opportunities each year, prioritizing deep partnerships with leadership teams and sustainable, strategic growth. It’s a mindset that mirrors the discipline, vision, and perseverance required to perform at the highest levels of sport.
Altas’ commitment to squash is both professional and deeply personal. Andrew Sheiner, the firm’s Founder and CEO, was a driving force in reestablishing world-class women’s squash in Toronto. His early support helped bring the Canadian Women’s Open back to life, recognizing the tournament’s potential to inspire young athletes and strengthen community connection through sport.
“With squash set to debut at LA 2028, this is an exciting time for the sport globally. The Canadian Women’s Open showcases the very best of squash: excellence, inclusion, and community impact. Altas is proud to support this world-class event and help inspire the next generation on and off the court.” Andrew Sheiner, Founder & CEO, Altas Partners
Beyond the pro circuit, Mr. Sheiner has served on the board of Urban Squash Toronto (UST), a long-time community partner of the Canadian Women’s Open. UST offers academic support, mentorship, and squash programming to youth in the Jane and Finch neighborhood, aligning directly with Atlas’ values around impact, equity, and opportunity.
Squash Canada thanks Altas Partners for their continued leadership and support in championing high-performance women’s squash and investing in the next generation, both on and off the court.
