Following the Canadian Women’s Open earlier in the 2025 – 2026 season in Toronto, its companion event, the 2026 AirSprint Private Aviation Canadian Men’s Open returns to Calgary for its fifth year, March 2 – 6 at Bow Valley Square.
This PSA Bronze Tour event will see five players ranked inside the PSA World Top 25, led by top seed Marwan ElShorbagy, a former World No. 3 and current World No. 7. Originally from Egypt and now representing England, ElShorbagy has been a fixture on the PSA Tour since 2010. As one half of the ElShorbagy brothers, Marwan will make his Calgary debut, following the footsteps of his older brother Mohamed, who captured the 2025 Title. With 17 PSA titles to his name, ElShorbagy is expected to meet second seed Victor Crouin of France in the final, against whom he holds a 6 – 3 career record.
Challenging the top two seeds will be Leonel Cardenas of Mexico, last year’s finalist and a two-time TAC Open champion, along with seasoned competitors Greg Lobban (SCO) and Miguel Rodriguez (COL), seeded fourth and fifth, respectively.
Canadian hopes will rest on David Baillargeon, the four-time national champion from Quebec returning from injury, and Connor Turk, Head Professional at the Bow Valley Athletic Club, who will represent the host venue on court.
Squash Canada extends its sincere thanks to the passionate squash community in Alberta and Calgary, and especially to Dean Brown, Darren Thomson, and the team at the Bow Valley Athletic Club, as well as Mike Knapp and AirSprint Private Aviation for their vision, partnership, and ongoing support of the event.
