2026 Raymond James Canadian Doubles & Mixed Doubles Championship Presented by Slaight Music Declares Its First Champions – Mixed Doubles Edition

    The 2026 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship, part of the greater Raymond James Canadian Doubles & Mixed Doubles Championships Presented by Slaight Music, wrapped up its final day of competition on April 9th at the Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto, crowning a new set of Canadian Champions.

    After three days of competition, Hollie Naughton and Cole Osborne claimed the 2026 Mixed Doubles Open title and the Jay Gillespie Trophy, after defeating Stephanie Edmison and Matthew Henderson in the final. Rounding out the podium, Reese Maclean and George Crowne took the bronze, defeating Nicole Kendall and Alex Spafford in the bronze medal match.

    Across the remaining divisions, champions were crowned up and down the age and skill draws. The Mixed 40+ crown went to Alana Miller and Jamie Nicholls, Nicole Garon and Rob Doherty won Mixed 50+ gold and raised the Sue Swift Trophy. Lauren Wagner and Paul Zander took the Mixed 55+ title, the Mixed 60+ championship went to Cathy Tuckwell and Marcus Macrae, with Cathy Brown and Danny Shannon taking the Mixed 65+. Rounding out the age-group champions, are Lolly Gillen and Mario Raponi who won Mixed 70+, capping off an outstanding day of competition.

    In Mixed B, Erica Jewett and Matthew Pepler claim gold, as Dolly Kao and Nigel Meakin did the same in Mixed C.
