The Pan American Junior Championships are right around the corner and Squash Canada is accepting applications for your chance to represent Canada.

From June 18-24, the best young players from the Caribbean, North, South and Central America will converge in Brasilia, Brazil to represent their countries as they compete for the podium at the 2018 Pan American Junior Squash Championships.

The Pan Am Junior Championships aims to create a competitive environment for the most talented juniors across the Americas, providing them with valuable experience on the international stage. It is a key development opportunity for the country’s top ranked junior players aspiring to represent Canada in future world events. The event follows the structure of the senior Pan American games – the event includes U19: TEAM competition, SINGLES events and SOFTBALL DOUBLES (as played on a singles court).

For the 2018 event, Squash Canada will nominate eight players—four girls and four boys—to represent Team Canada.

Nominations will be based on Squash Canada’s Pan American Junior Championships selection criteria and will be based on Squash Canada’s “Overall Junior Rankings by Gender” for both men and women.

Participation in the 2018 Pan American Junior Squash Championships is a self-funded event.  To help defray costs, Squash Canada is working on raising funds.
