Canadian athletes returned from the 2026 British Junior Open with valuable international experience after being one of the largest Canadian delegations to attend the event. A total of 50 Canadian athletes competed in Birmingham, England, with four finishing inside the top 20 of their respective draws.

This year’s delegation showcased strong participation across all age groups, reflecting the depth, growth, and collective commitment of Canada’s junior squash community. The tournament provided an important opportunity for athletes to test themselves against top global competition and support each other throughout a demanding week of play.

Squash Canada extends a heartfelt thank you to the Arjun Gupta Foundation (AGF) for its continued support. Through the Foundation’s International Excellence Bursary Programme, AGF provided critical funding assistance to athletes requiring support to attend the event. Squash Canada also recognizes the dedicated coaching team made up of Jonathan Hill (AB), Samantha Cornett Singh (ON), Nick Sachvie (ON), William Kuhn (ON), Jennifer Pelletier (ON), and Oliver Pett (AB), for their leadership, commitment, and support of Canadian athletes throughout the tournament.
