Squash Canada is delighted to announce the team of athletes chosen to represent Canada at the 2023 Pan American Squash Championships which will be held from June 4 to 10 in Cartagena, Colombia. Athletes will compete in singles, doubles, and team events in Colombia.

- Graeme Schnell (AB)
- Nicole Bunyan (BC)
- Sydney Maxwell (ON)
- Hollie Naughton (ON)
- Nikole Todd (SK)
The team is headed by coaches Yvon Provençal (QC) and Victoria Lust (BC).
When asked about her expectations for the Canadian team, Nikole Todd said, “I am really excited to be competing in another Pan American Championships. We have a pretty strong team so hopefully we can perform and bring home some hardware for Canada!” This will be Todd’s fifth Pan American event including podium finishes at the 2015 Pan American Games (Silver, Women’s Doubles with Samantha Cornett; Silver, Women’s Team with Cornett and Hollie Naughton) and 2018 Pan American Squash Championships (Bronze, Women’s Doubles with Cornett; Silver, Women’s Team with Cornett, Naughton, and Danielle Letourneau).
Graeme Schnell will wear two hats at the 2023 Pan American Squash Championships: “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to represent my country once again at a Pan American event, as well as support the Women’s team as a chiropractor. The Canadian team is comprised of some of the country’s top athletes and I’m looking forward to competing alongside them.” Schnell was also a part of Canada’s 2015 Pan American Games team where he captured a Silver in the Men’s Doubles with his brother Andrew Schnell, and Gold in the Men’s Team event with Schnell and Shawn Delierre.
The Pan American Championships is a meaningful event for these athletes and for Canadian squash. The results will determine inclusion and seeding at the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games, which will take place at the end of October in Santiago, Chile.
Squash Canada looks forward to cheering on our talented athletes!
