On behalf of the Squash Canada Junior Athlete Pathway Committee and Board of Directors, Squash Canada is pleased to release the new National Junior Circuit (NJC) Program.
The NJC and Points Table Ranking Program are designed for High Performance Juniors in Canada playing at a National and International Level. They provide a transparent ranking program to be used for selecting squads, international endorsements, and National Teams. The Club Locker Universal Ratings will continue to be available for all players in Canada and provide an excellent approximation of their level of play as it relates to other players globally. The full NJC policy is now available (link below) which outlines important details on how to navigate eligible events, the points table and rules and regulations that pertain to the program. In addition, Squash Canada will conduct two virtual information sessions for athletes, parents and coaches as below.
Affected junior athletes and their support teams are encouraged to read through the policy. Items of note included in the policy are playing-up regulations at NJCs, withdrawal and default procedures and consequences, and details on the points for each position and the point adjustment for aging up.
