2024 Canadian Masters Teams Championship to take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba

After a successful 2023 tournament preceded by a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian Masters Teams Championship is set to return in 2024 from January 26th – 28th at the Winnipeg Winter Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Presented by Cardinal Capital Management, the event will bring teams from across Canada together to compete against one another.

The 2024 Canadian Masters Teams Championship will bring together 9 teams from across Canada, two more than last year’s event. This year’s tournament will see the addition of a CAF team as well as a second squad from host province, Manitoba. Each team is comprised of seven players, four male, three female, in age categories 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+ and 40+, 45+, 50+ respectively. Team Ontario will look to defend its 2023 title, while Team Quebec will aim to make the finals in a second consecutive year. Team Alberta and Team Nova Scotia will also look to build off respectable finishes at last year’s tournament.

“The Winnipeg Winter Club and the squash community in Winnipeg are extremely excited to be hosting the 2024 Canadian Masters Team Championships,” said Tournament Chair Trevor Borland. “Our players are happy to have such a great representation coming to our city and are up for the challenge of the Masters. We are especially excited to carry on the tradition of the Saturday night banquet, which will feature a provincial team trivia contest as well as the annual ‘Neddy’ competition – it should be a great time had by all!”
