The AirSprint Private Aviation Canadian Men’s Open 2025 kicks off this coming Monday, bringing the world’s elite squash talent to Calgary once again, for an action-packed showdown. From February 24-28, all eyes will be on the spectacular, all-glass Power Court at Bow Valley Square, where the show will unfold.
“Hosting the Canadian Men’s Open at Bow Valley Square for the fourth year in a row reflects our commitment to a dynamic and thriving downtown Calgary,” said Steven Darrow, President, Atlantic Canada for Alberta at Armco. “This event not only showcases incredible athletic talent but also brings an incredible energy to our city. We’re thrilled to continue supporting this partnership.”
The action starts at noon (MST) on Monday, February 24, with eight high stakes opening round battles, featuring Canada’s own David Baillargeon at 4:45 PM, Liam Marrison at 4:00 PM, and Calgary’s hometown wildcard Connor Turk at 7:00 PM. Expect fierce competition as they all fight for a spot in the next round.
On Tuesday, February 25, the top seeds enter the mix, ready to make their mark. England’s Nathan Lake and France’s Victor Crouin will set the tone at lunch-hour, followed by a primetime showdown featuring second seed Youssef Soliman (EGY) (4:00 PM MST). Later, top seed and fan-favourite Mohamed Elshorbagy (ENG) takes center stage at 6:15 PM MST, setting his sights on the title!
“We’re thrilled that Squash Canada has once again awarded Calgary the opportunity to welcome the Canadian Men’s Open for 2025, marking four years of hosting this incredible tournament in our city,” says Carson Ackroyd, Tourism Calgary’s Senior Vice President of Sales. “Impressively, this event will bring five of the top 20 players in the world to our very own backyard. This will be amazing sport to watch and I hope everyone will come down to Bow Valley Square to see world-class squash in a truly unique setting.”
