Entries for the 2026 Canadian Women’s Open are in, and World No. 7 Fayrouz Aboelkheir, World No. 8 Georgina Kennedy, and World No. 9 Tinne Gilis headline the bill as the Jonathon Power Court presented by Slaight Music returns to BGRE’s Brookfield Place from October 25 to 30.

Fayrouz Aboelkheir (EGY) arrives as the tournament’s top seed. While this marks her Canadian Women’s Open debut, Toronto isn’t unfamiliar territory: she competed in her first PSA World Tour Finals in the city at the end of the 2024 – 2025 season. Her toughest test, and expected final opponent, is second seed Georgina Kennedy (ENG), who returns to Toronto after reaching the 2025 final.

2024 champion Tinne Gilis (BEL) returns for her third consecutive year, seeded third.

Behind them sits a wave of returning favourites, including Melissa Alves (FRA) and Nada Abbas (EGY) alongside a group making their Toronto debut.

Few players draw more attention than the very top seeds, but seventh seed 18-year-old Anahat Singh may be the exception. The Indian star returns to Toronto as the reigning 2026 World Squash Junior Individual Champion, a title she won on the Jonathon Power Court in Niagara-on-the-Lake this past summer.

Hollie Naughton, Canadian No. 1, leads the home contingent, joined by Nicole Bunyan, Canadian No. 2. They’re joined by Zeina Zein, who makes her return to the tournament after last competing in 2023.

Running alongside the Canadian Women’s Open is the SmartCentres Canada Cup 2026. Former World No. 1 and World Champion Diego Elias leads the charge, joined by Jonah Bryant, Leonel Cardenas, and Mohamed ElShorbagy. A host of other international contenders will round out the field.

Canada will have a home favourite of its own in the men’s draw, with Quebec’s Karim Michael representing the Maple Leaf.

Squash Canada thanks Canadian Women’s Open Platinum Partners ALTAS Partners, BGRE, the Government of Canada, the Mitchell Family, Oxford Properties, Scotia Wealth Management, and Slaight Music, as well as our many gold, silver, and bronze partners for their ongoing support of the sport.
