Call for Certified Coaches

    Squash Canada has three upcoming, exciting coach opportunities in 2025 and early 2026 and invites applications for these positions. Please note that there is a very tight application timeframe – by April 30, 2025.

    The available positions, the terms of engagement and required qualifications are summarized in the attached table. In addition to applicable honoraria, expenses for all positions are covered by Squash Canada on a pre-approved basis and in keeping with existing expense policies.

    Squash Canada will select coaches based on a variety of factors including NCCP certification and other supplementary qualifications, experience coaching internationally, experience coaching high-performance athletes, succession planning, gender of athletes, diversity and safe sport / screening requirements.

    Squash Canada may elect to not deliver all listed events and activities, and therefore reserves the right to not fill all positions.

    All coaches are subject to the Squash Canada Screening Policy, which includes screening and safe sport requirements that must be completed as soon as possible and prior to the start of engagement for the event. The requirements include:

    • Completion of an online Application Form;
    • Completion of an online Screening Disclosure Form;
    • Completion of online safe sport training (either Coaching Association of Canada’s Safe Sport training, or Respect in Sport’s Activity Leader training);
    • Valid (less than 1 year old) Vulnerable Sector Check with Enhanced Police Information Check (a Criminal Record Check);
    • Completion of NCCP Making Ethical Decisions module and online evaluation;
    • Completion of concussion training (NCCP Making Headway module);
    • Two letters of reference related to the position, at least one from a sport organization;
    • [Recommended] Commit to Kids training.

    Interested coaches should forward their curriculum vitae along with a covering letter stating (a) which position(s) they are applying for, (b) how many of those positions they could fill, (c) reasons why interested, (d) languages spoken, and (e) their relevant qualifications for the position.
