After four days of competition featuring over 900 matches and participants from over 17 countries, the 2025 Canadian Junior Open presented by Forthlane Partners has concluded. Hosted at The Club at White Oaks and the Jack Aylott Squash Centre at Ridley College, the event showcased over 370 athletes competing in boys’ and girls’ U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, PSA NextGen categories from December 13–16.
At this year’s C.J.O. Canadian players were standouts with 41 Canadian athletes finishing in the top five of their respective age categories. Canadians secured an impressive 29 medals, including 9 of the 12 available Golds. Congratulations to Wing Kai Gladys Ho of British Columbia (GU19), Calder Murray of Alberta (BU19), Joelle Kim of British Columbia (GU17), Kent Rawlins of Ontario (BU17), Obie Ryding of Ontario (BU15), Shirley Chen of Ontario (GU13), Chase Facchin of Ontario (BU13), Rhea Zhang of British Columbia (GU11) and Niki Shemirani of Ontario (Women’s NextGen) for taking home the Gold.
