Welcome William Kuhn, Squash Canada’s New Events Manager

Squash Canada is pleased to welcome William Kuhn to the team as the organization’s new Events Manager.

William joins Squash Canada with a strong background in the sport as a player and coach, as well as an experienced event organizer. He most recently served as Competitions Coordinator with Squash Ontario, where he managed the delivery of junior events, provincial championships, the Jesters University League, and provided support to their high-performance programming.

Since graduating from Western he has remained engaged in the sport in various facets, including coaching at the Granite club and competing on the SDA doubles circuit.

“With major national and international events on the horizon, including the World Junior Championships and the Canada Winter Games, I’m excited to bring my experience to this role and help deliver exceptional events,” shares William.

“Looking ahead to squash’s debut at the Olympic Games in 2028, the upcoming Canadian Women’s and Men’s Open will carry an added level of pressure and opportunity as players compete to qualify, and I’m honoured to be part of this. Squash Canada has built a strong team and continues to elevate the events it hosts, and I’m thrilled to be joining that group.”

In his role as Events Manager, he will oversee the delivery of Squash Canada’s event portfolio, including the Canadian Men’s and Women’s Opens, Canadian Junior and Senior Championships, Canadian Junior Open, Canadian Doubles Championships, and the National Junior Circuit. He will also collaborate closely with organizing committees, volunteers, contractors, sanctioning bodies, and provincial and territorial partners to ensure the successful execution of these events.
