The qualifying round opens today (Tuesday October 25), where De Lierre will face Ahmed Hussein of Egypt. With a win he would move on to the final round of the qualifier to face the winner of the Chi Him Wong (HKG) vs. Addeen Idrakie (MAS) match.

De Lierre, a HP Squad Member of Squash Canada’s National Team Program, qualified for the main round of the 2015 PSA Men’s World Championship after winning his qualifying matches against Babatunde Ajagbe (3-0) and Shehab Essam (3-1). Facing world-ranked #20 Mohamed Abouelghar of Egypt in the first round, De Lierre battled hard but ultimately lost the match 1-3, ending his run for the 2015 title.
