OTTAWA (ON) – Squash Canada and Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) are pleased to announce the release a new coaching resource as part of PHE CANADA’s Move, Think and Learn series.
The Move Think Learn resource series has been designed to support physical educators in their planning of game-play experiences for children and youth. The series targets educators working with children and youth approximately 9–15 years of age (grades 4–9); its goal is to increase students’ knowledge, confidence, and competence so they become further engaged in physical activity and/or sport.
Squash Canada Executive Director Danny Da Costa said, “we are grateful to Sport Canada and PHE Canada for the development of this resource. We feel this resource provides a quality first experience for young children in the school system and will hopefully encourage more players to take an interest in the game of squash across Canada”.
