Squash Canada officially announces the cancellation of the 2022 Canadian Masters Teams Championships that were originally scheduled for February 4-6, 2022, at the new Regina Squash Centre in Saskatchewan. The event had been postponed with the hope of rescheduling but after consulting key stakeholders, it was determined that the compression of other provincial and national events in April and May were too congested, summer was not an opportune time, especially if the WSF World Masters Championships are in mind for some players, and the Fall was just too close to the 2023 date.
Going forward, Squash Canada has identified January 27-29, 2023, as a provisional date for the 2023 Canadian Masters Teams Championships that would be held in PEI. The event would also act as the ‘test event’ for the 2023 Canada Winter Games in which PEI is hosting.
