2021-22 Oxford Properties Canadian Open Presented by AirSprint Private Aviation

What an exciting week of squash! Players, fans, volunteers, officials, streamers, and partners raved about the 2021-22 Oxford Properties Canadian Open Presented by AirSprint Private Aviation. Two champions were crowned, Olivia Fiechter of the United States and Nick Wall of England. They didn’t take their titles without a fight from our Canadian players, however, with 4 out of the 8 semi-finalists being Canadian. David Baillargeon of Québec and Hollie Naughton of Ontario both delighted the Canadian crowd with their athleticism and accuracy in the finals, both losing out in a tight 4 games. Thank you to the Calgary squash community and all partners involved for helping make this event a huge success. Results – Click Here / Pictures

2022 Pan Am Senior Championships

The Canadian Team at the 2022 Pan American Championships did our country proud taking home 6 medals in 3 events and fighting hard in each match. Well done to our young team of Hannah Blatt, Amal Izhar, Maria Min, Liam Marrison, Salah Eltorgman, and Maximilien Godbout. A huge thank you to coaches Yvon Provençal and Nicole Pirko and Canadian official Viano Oghenekevwe for your dedication, time, and energy at the tournament. The Pan American Championships are an important event in the lead-up to the Pan American Games, with the 2023 Games coming up next year in Santiago, Chile. Results – Click Here

2022 World Doubles Championships

A strong Canadian team of Hollie Naughton, David Baillargeon, and Nick Sachvie proceeded to take on the world’s best on the softball doubles court, unfortunately missing key player Danielle Letourneau due to an injury. Naughton and Sachvie paired up to play in the mixed doubles and Sachvie and Baillargeon played in the men’s doubles. We highly recommend watching doubles live – both in person and via the streaming is extremely exciting. Both teams and coach Graeme Williams gained valuable experience in the lead-up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Results – Click Here
