Squash Canada is thrilled to announce dates and locations for the 2023 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships and the 2023 Canadian Doubles Championships. This season marks the first time since 2019 that the Canadian Doubles Squash community will have the opportunity to compete in a National Championship, which are the highlight of the squash season for competitive players who dream of being crowned a Canadian Squash Champion.
“It is exciting to finally be able to schedule our National Doubles Championships and hopefully get them played. Many thanks to Cedar Springs and Mayfair Parkway for stepping up to host the events,” stated Bart Sambrook, Chair of the Squash Canada Doubles Committee. “During the past two years many of us have missed our squash friends from across Canada and the United States. It is time to travel, compete and support our cherished doubles community, and have fun with our friends again. Doubles squash participation needs to return to pre-pandemic levels and grow from there.”

Excitement is also brewing as plans for the 2023 edition of the Canadian Open are in negotiations. The event was resurrected in Calgary in April of this year with great fanfare after a 20 year hiatus.
