Squash Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee welcome the addition of Nikole Todd to the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games squash team.
Nikole Todd (SK) is a seasoned Pan Am squash veteran including podium finishes at the 2015 Pan American Games (Silver, Women’s Doubles with Samantha Cornett; Silver, Women’s Team with Cornett and Hollie Naughton) and 2018 Pan American Squash Championships (Bronze, Women’s Doubles with Cornett; Silver, Women’s Team with Cornett, Naughton, and Danielle Letourneau), as well as excellent a team podium finish at the recent 2023 Pan American Squash Championships in Colombia.
Todd, who is currently ranked # 1 in Canada in the Women’s Open category in hardball doubles and competes on both the Squash Doubles Association Pro Tour (SDA) and the Professional Squash Association World Tour (PSA), will be replacing Alberta’s Danielle Letourneau.
“It’s obviously disappointing being unable to represent Canada at the Pan American Games,” shared Letourneau. “It’s an event I’ve worked hard to be prepared to play, and while I’m close to returning to competition it’s in the best interest of the team to have Hollie, Nikki, and Nicole there. I’ll be cheering them on wholeheartedly! Go Canada!”
“I look forward to my second Pan Am Games,” said Todd. “I can’t wait to represent Canada and contribute to our medal count at such an exciting and challenging event!”
Team Canada’s squash team for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games is:
David Baillargeon (Montreal, Que.)
Nicole Bunyan (Victoria, B.C.)

The six athletes qualified for Team Canada based on their PSA rankings, their recent head-to-head results, and/or their performances at previous Pan American Games and Championships.
