The Canadian contingent has landed in Tauranga, New Zealand and will be competing in the World Squash Federation’s (WSF) 2023 Men’s World Team Championship this week from December 11-17.
A biennial WSF event, the Men’s World Team Championship is an exciting opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their athleticism and teamwork. David Baillargeon (QC, World Ranked #40), Salah Eltorgman (ON, WR #77), Liam Marrison (ON, WR# 137), and Brett Schille (AB, WR #151), all Squash Canada Senior Squad athletes, will be representing the Maple Leaf and will be coached by Victoria Lust (BC).
The competition will take place at New Zealand’s Mercury Baypark Arena and the Devoy Squash and Fitness Centre. This year’s event marks a welcome return for the Championship, which has not been played since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
