Squash Canada is proud to award the 2025 Masters Team Championship to the Moncton Squash Club! The event will be held January 24-26, 2025, in Moncton, New Brunswick. The eagerly anticipated event will bring together top masters players from across the nation to compete for the National Team Championship title.
“Squash Moncton wishes to thank Squash Canada for its confidence in hosting the 2025 Ridley Windows & Doors Canadian Masters Team Championship this upcoming January 2025. This will mark the fifth time in our twenty-year club history that Squash Moncton has hosted a National Team championship.
“The organizing committee is committed to putting on an event for all to remember. While the squash will certainly be intense, we also wish to ensure lots of off-court camaraderie and entertainment including the Saturday evening banquet and the annual “Neddy” competition,” shared Marc Lalonde of the 2025 Canadian Masters Team Championship Organizing Committee.
One of the focuses for the committee is to host an environmentally friendly championship. Lalonde expands on this goal: “Our aim is to run a plastic and paper-free tournament. All scoring will be done electronically. Additionally, towels and water bottles will be provided in your welcome package, and a water fountain will be available in the facility. As many visitors will be staying in the nearby recommended hotels, we will also provide complimentary transportation to and from the venue to reduce our overall impact. These are just a few of the steps we are taking to enhance sustainability efforts.”
The organizing committee wishes to thank Ridley Doors and Windows, one of the premier supporters of squash in Canada over the past 25 years, for joining them and assuming the role of Title Sponsor, thereby helping in their goal of welcoming master players from all provinces and territories to a most memorable championship in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The Canadian Masters Team Championship consists of seven players per team (four men and three women) in the age divisions of Men’s 40+, 45+, 50+ and 55+ and Women’s 40+, 45+ and 50+. Interested players are directed to their provincial/territorial squash association to learn of respective selection criteria.
