Canada Well Represented Across the Pond at the 2025 British Junior Open

    Over 40 Canadians juniors have arrived in Birmingham, England to compete in the prestigious British Junior Open (BJO) from January 2nd to 6th. As one of the world’s largest and most renowned junior tournaments, the BJO attracts top junior talent from around the globe.

    Standout Canadian National Squad athletes competing include Wasey Maqsood (ON), Sam Boulanger (AB), Tsz Ling Alyssa Ho (AB) in the Under-19 Categories, as well as Calder Murray (AB) and Heyang Angela Hong (BC) in the Under-17 Categories, all of whom have been on the road since the 2024 Canadian Junior Open (CJO).

    Maqsood (ON) claimed the Boys Under-19 champion title at the 2024 CJO and secured a fourth-place result at the 2024 USJO. Boulanger (AB) earned a second-place finish at CJO and a fresh fifth-place result at the Scottish Junior Open (SJO). Ho (AB) earned a second-place result at CJO in the Girls Under-19 division and a Top 15 finish at the USJO.

    Murray (AB) captured the Boys Under-17 champion title at this year’s CJO, finished in the Top 20 at the 2024 US Junior Open, and exceeded his seeding of 9/16 at the SJO where he finished with a third-place result. Lastly, Hong (BC) took second at CJO in Girls Under-17 and earned a Top 15 finish at the USJO.
