Lucas joins Squash Canada as a seasoned professional with a background in sports management and leadership development. Formerly with Tennis Canada, Lucas played a pivotal role in organizing the Canadian University National Championships at the prestigious National Bank Open. Lucas has helped Inspire Through Sport, an organization focused on keeping youth female tennis players in the game, nationalize their mentorship program in Canada. Lucas also is the founder of LCF Consulting, helping leaders, athletes, and teams enhance their emotional intelligence.
Beyond professional accomplishments, Lucas comes from a volleyball background playing for Brock University from 2016 to 2020 and is currently a Level 1 referee in Ontario. He currently plays on the Canadian domestic beach volleyball tour finishing in the top 20 in Canada in 2023.
In his role as Manager of Programs, Lucas will oversee a range of different portfolios including, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA), government relations and funding applications, governance and policy development, coaching initiatives, and sport safety programs. Additionally, Lucas will be responsible for the management of the national teams and squads, and support event logistics such as merchandise management, and lead special projects, including a governance review.
