Squash Canada is pleased to invite applications for the next phase of CANSquash. Following a successful first year of implementation, Squash Canada is seeking up to 25 new squash clubs and facilities from across Canada to deliver CANSquash programming during Fall 2026.
CANSquash is Squash Canada’s standardized national curriculum for participants and coaches of all ages and abilities. Based on Squash Canada’s Long-Term Development (LTD) framework, CANSquash provides coaches and volunteers with structured lesson plans, participant resources, and a consistent pathway for introducing and developing squash players across the country.
Squash Canada aims to continue building a strong national network of clubs delivering high-quality introductory and developmental squash programming while providing participants with a fun, engaging, and consistent experience.
Who Can Apply? Applications are open to squash clubs and facilities that:
- Are current member clubs/facilities in good standing with their Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO).
- Have a lead coach who is NCCP Certified, and additional staff who are NCCP Trained.
- Have coaches and volunteers who have completed the required Safe Sport training.
- Are committed to delivering a CANSquash program during Fall 2026.
- Can support a minimum of six participants.
- Are prepared to provide feedback and program information to assist with the continued development of CANSquash.
Please note:
- Organizations do not need to be registered not-for-profit organizations.
- Participants enrolled in the program must be individual members of their respective PTSO.
What is Included? Successful applicants will receive:
- Full access to the CANSquash curriculum and resources through PlayBuilder.
- Promotional materials and templates.
- National and provincial promotional support.
- Ongoing guidance from Squash Canada staff.
- The opportunity to contribute feedback that will shape the future of CANSquash.
- There is no cost to participate in the Fall 2026 CANSquash Program.
Timeline
- July 1 – July 31, 2026 – Applications Open
- August 2026 – Application Review & Selection Process
- September – December 2026 – Program Delivery Period
Successful applicants will be notified during August 2026 to allow sufficient time for planning, promotion, registration, and program delivery.
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Club readiness and capacity to deliver the program.
- Coaching and Safe Sport requirements.
- Geographic representation across Canada.
Information Session
Squash Canada will host an information session for interested applicants on July 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM EST to provide an overview of the program, application requirements, and answer questions.
