The stage is set for the 2025 Canadian Women’s Open, with the World No. 5 Amina Orfi headlining the World Tour Silver event returning October 25 – 30 to the iconic glass court in Toronto’s Brookfield Place. Tickets are currently on sale and fans can take advantage of early-bird savings of up to 20% until September 25 (11:59PM).

As the largest professional female squash tournament in Canada, this PSA Silver-Level Event has attracted the deepest field in its history, featuring four of the world’s Top 10 players. Leading the lineup is top seed Egypt’s Amina Orfi, a four-time World Junior Champion, and the second-youngest player ever to break into the world’s Top 10. Since joining the PSA Tour, the young star has become one of the brightest rising talents and is known for pushing squash’s veteran players to the very limit. Orfi is expected to meet second seed and defending champion, Tinne Gilis (Belgium) in this year’s final.

Amanda Sobhy (USA), the 2023 champion, enters as the No. 3 seed, while Georgina Kennedy (ENG) is seeded fourth. Melissa Alves (FRA), last year’s underdog who stunned top seed Nele Gilis-Coll, returns looking to make another impressive run as the sixth seed. And with the Toronto crowd behind her, hometown favourite Hollie Naughton (Ontario, Canada), seeded seventh, will be aiming to deliver her best result on home soil.

Adding to the Canadian charge is Nicole Bunyan (British Columbia, Canada), the reigning Canadian Champion, and Alberta’s very own Danielle Ray, former World No. 18, who is stepping back onto the PSA Tour after maternity leave. Her comeback on Canadian soil is expected to be one of the standout moments of the event.

Running alongside the Canadian Women’s Open is the TAC Open, a Men’s PSA Copper. Defending champion Leonel Cardenas of Mexico (World No. 13) returns as the top seed, with Egypt’s Yahya Elnawasany (No. 43) and Omar Mosaad (No. 45 and HWR No. 3) also in contention. The Maple Leaf will be represented by Canadian No. 2, Salah Eltorgman (Ontario, Canada), the home favourite for Canadian fans to rally behind.
