Arbutus Club Hosts First-Ever National Squash Championship This Weekend: 2026 Pollock Clinics Men’s Health Canadian Squash Championships Presented by Amica Senior Lifestyles

The Arbutus Club is no stranger to high performance squash tournaments but there are still firsts to be had. Beginning this Saturday, April 25th, the Arbutus Club in Vancouver will welcome 615 athletes from across the country for the 2026 Pollock Clinics Men’s Health Canadian Junior & Senior Championships Presented by Amica Senior Lifestyles, the Club’s first-ever Canadian Squash Championship.

This is a full circle moment for Arbutus because the last time a Glass Court was onsite was for the 1992 Women’s World Team Championships. Now, more than three decades later, the Knapp Family “West Coast” Court brings the same energy back the gymnasium. Timing also could not be more fitting since Canada will be hosting the 2026 World Squash Junior Championships in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario in July, and many Under – 19 athletes competing in Vancouver are vying to be on court in Niagara.

Over eight consecutive days, junior draws run from April 25 – 28 before the senior competition joins the fray on the 28th and carries through to May 2.

In the Girls Under-19 draw, British Columbians Wing Kai Gladys Ho and Joelle Kim emerge as top seeds, while Calder Murray (AB) and Yusuf Matti-Alvarez (BC) lead the Boys Under-19 draw. While in the Senior draws, both of Canada’s No. 1s’, Hollie Naughton (ON) and David Baillargeon (QC) return alongside defending champions Nicole Bunyan (BC) and Liam Marrison (ON).

Beyond the competition, the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame Commission will proudly induct Viktor BergShawn DelierreDavid Pemberton-Smith, and Gerry Poulton into the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame on May 1, recognizing their outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to squash in Canada.

Squash Canada would like to thank Tournament Chair, Dave Glass, the Arbutus Club, and valued title and presenting partners, Pollock Clinics and Amica Senior Lifestyles, respectively, as well as all gold, silver, and bronze partners and patrons for their generous support of this event. As well as the support from satellite venues, the Jericho Tennis Club and the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club.
