Coming this fall, the Canadian Squash community will have the opportunity to increase their emotional intelligence for sport through two professional development webinars delivered by LCF Consulting. To kick off the season there will be two virtual, transformative emotional intelligence (EI) development workshops. There will be one workshop for athletes and one for coaches. Both are designed to elevate performance both personally, professionally, and athletically. With national team athletes and top coaches expected to attend, these sessions promote high-performance development.
The athlete session, ‘What, Why, and How to Develop Emotional Intelligence’, will take place on October 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST (4:00 PM PST | 5:00 PM MST | 6:00 PM CST | 8:00 PM AST). Athletes will learn how to develop EI for both sport and life, and explore how to integrate EI habits into their training and competition routines.
The coach session, ‘The Three Types of Emotional Intelligence: Individual, Team, and Leader’, is scheduled for November 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST (11:00 AM PST | 12:00 PM MST | 1:00 PM CST | 3:00 PM AST). Coaches will learn to distinguish between reactive and proactive EI strategies[ and how to create high-performing complimentary teams centered around EI]. NCCP Coaches who attend will receive Professional Development (PD) points toward their certification requirements.
“I am excited to contribute to the development of squash athletes and coaches across the country. EI is an undeniable asset for coaches and athletes alike, due to its transferability across personal and professional aspects of life. I’m looking forward to seeing members of the Canadian squash community bring these skills into their season,” said Lucas Filice, Founder and CEO of LCF Consulting.
“We’re thrilled to have our community join LCF Consulting’s fall sessions. Emotional intelligence plays a key role in helping athletes and coaches succeed both in competition and in their personal growth. Supporting the whole athlete on and off the court is so important in sport, ” said Samantha Cornett, Squash Canada’s Director of Athlete Development.
