Squash Canada Unveils Olympic Fundraising Campaign: the Road to the Podium LA 2028

Squash Canada is pleased to officially launch the Road to the Podium LA 2028 Edition Fundraising Campaign which will catapult the sport and its athletes on our Olympic journey. The campaign features 3 key pillars designed to grow our sport and develop our athletes – Centralized Training, Individual Athlete Funding and the newly launched CANSquash National Grassroots Curriculum.

The campaign was kick-started with a visionary contribution by the Love Family who have pledged $100,000 over the 2025 – 2028 quadrennial to support female athletes and centralized training pillars. These critical funds will be allocated directly to National Squad Athletes and to the Centralized Training Infrastructure required to maximize their potential.

“The Love Family is proud to support Canadian Women Squash players. We have been inspired witnessing firsthand the incredible physical, mental, and technical skills that world class squash requires, and we are committed to helping our Canadian Athletes achieve their potential,” says Christie Love Thomas. “We are excited to see what the next 3 years has in store for Canadian squash and encourage other patrons to join us in supporting our Canadian athletes.”

Patrons and friends of the sport are invited to make a charitable donation by visiting DONATE HERE and will receive a full charitable tax receipt. Other ways to contribute include Corporate Partnership, in-kind goods or services, donating stock and/or travel points. All proceeds go directly to the Road to the Podium LA 2028 fund which supports the development of our athletes and the growth of the sport.

“The Dawn of our Olympic era is upon us and with unprecedented momentum, I encourage the national squash community to come together and provide our athletes the support they need and the sport the profile it deserves. Squash Canada thanks the Love Family and the many great patrons, both current and future, for their support as we set to capitalize on this historic opportunity,” says Squash Canada CEO Jamie Nicholls.
