USA Claims Victory at 2026 Battle of the Border

Over the long weekend, twenty-four Canadian and American junior athletes, along with their coaches, converged on The Club at White Oaks for the annual Battle of the Border.

Founded in 2004, Battle of the Border has provided Canadian and American junior players with the opportunity to train, compete, and gain invaluable experience representing their countries. The event features groups of eight athletes, four boys and four girls, in each of the U17, U15, and U13 categories.

The teams kicked off the weekend with training sessions and watching the grand finale of the 2026 World Squash Junior Team Championships, which was also being hosted by The Club at White Oaks.

The Battle officially got underway on Saturday, August 1, with an Opening Ceremony on the Jonathon Power Court, presented by Slaight Music. Competing in a 4-3-2-1 order across each division, Team USA claimed the overall victory, 20 – 4. Standout Canadian victories came from Ontario’s Lyvia Han in the Girls’ U15 division and Ontario’s Navin Kerr in the Boys’ U17 division.

As another Battle of the Border ends, we thank all Canadian and American coaches and athletes for their dedication and hard work, and we look forward to seeing them compete again next year.
