Squash Canada is thrilled to announce the selection of two more squash facilities as hosts of 2019 Canadian Championships.  These selections compliment an already impressive list of championship calibre hosts as part of the 2018-2019 Canadian Squash Championship Season.

The 2019 Canadian Doubles Squash Championships will head to the prestigious Granite Club in Toronto, ON to be held April 5-7, 2019.  This premier doubles squash event will surely be the event of the season as many of the finest players from across Canada and Internationally will compete for titles in Men’s and Women’s Open and numerous age categories.  “So excited to be hosting Canada’s finest doubles players for this event; we expect the competition and the camaraderie to be second to none from this extraordinary group” said Tournament Chair Annette White.

The 2019 Canadian University and College Squash Championships will head to “Canada’s High-Tech Capital” Markham, ON to be hosted by Mayfair Parkway from March 1-3, 2019.  Many of our top squash student-athletes will compete for school pride in Men’s and Women’s Open and A categories.  “Mayfair Parkway is proud and excited to host the 2019 Canadian University and College Championships.  This is a great opportunity to see some of the best young squash players in Canada competing in one tournament” said Naresh Persaud, General Manager of Mayfair Parkway.

Both facilities are no strangers to hosting Canadian Championships.  Mayfair Parkway has staged many National level events with most recently hosting back-to-back Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships in 2017 and 2018.  The Granite Club recently hosted the 2014 Canadian Doubles Championship.  “Squash Canada is very pleased to partner with two extraordinary clubs and organizing committees to deliver quality national competitive opportunities for over 300 players”, said Dan Wolfenden, Squash Canada Executive Director.  “The Canadian squash community benefits from this ongoing tradition of hosting excellence.”
