Squash Canada announces the departure of Emily Hall, Manager of Programs and Communications

Squash Canada is saddened to announce the departure of Emily Hall, Manager of Programs and Communications, effective Friday October 18, 2024. Emily is departing to start a new chapter in her life but will leave behind an impactful legacy on the organization and the Canadian squash community.

Emily joined the organization in August 2022 and immediately became an integral part of the staff overseeing areas such as marketing, communications, grant writing, events, and more. In addition, she will leave behind a legacy on the sport of squash through her work with the IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) portfolio, which included the CSAI (Community Sport For All Initiative)  grant that brought in substantial funding opportunities in 2022/23 of $312,000 and 2023/24 of $766,000 for inclusive and accessible programming at the Club, Provincial/Territory, and National levels.

“Emily has been a valuable part of the team at Squash Canada and has endeared herself to the people she has met over the past two years. She is a dedicated individual who has an open mind, carried herself with professionalism, and always brought a pleasant disposition to the organization. On behalf of Squash Canada, we would like to acknowledge the time that Emily has spent with us and the incredible impact she has had on the wider Canadian squash community,” shared Geoffrey Johnson, Chief Operating Officer.

“I’m thankful for the opportunities that working for Squash Canada has provided me with, from the professional development experiences and various projects I’ve been involved in and/or led, to the connections I’ve made both with external partners and within the squash community. It has been an engaging two years in which I’ve enjoyed learning more about the sport of squash from those who know it best. I wish to thank the officials, volunteers, athletes, P/Ts and Squash Canada staff, and all those whose path I crossed – your contribution and impact did not go unnoticed, and I sincerely appreciated our time together. I’m excited to explore this next chapter of life for myself and watch where squash in Canada grows from here.” – Emily Hall, Manager of Programs and Communications

Please join Squash Canada in wishing Emily a fond farewell and best wishes as she moves forward with a new chapter in her life.
