Over 300 competitors, over 500 matches, 18 national titles, 12 courts, and 4 days – the 2017 Mayfair Lakeshore Canadian Squash Championships is THE Canadian squash event of the season. From May 3 to 6, squash players from across the country will rule the courts at the Mayfair Club Lakeshore (Toronto, ON) in hopes of capturing a national title.

From May 3 to 6, squash players from across the country will rule the courts at the Mayfair Club Lakeshore (Toronto, ON) in hopes of capturing a national title.
Each year, the Canadian Squash Championships marks the conclusion of another squash season, as participants hit the courts for one final competition. From Canada’s elite competing in the Women’s and Men’s Open division to the competitive Men’s 75+ division, the Canadian Championships showcases talent in all ages.
With matches running from 9am each morning straight through to the evening, fans and spectators will be treated to non-stop action – no matter the time of day, anyone who steps into the Mayfair Club Lakeshore will have their pick of squash matches to watch.
Champions return to defend their title!
Both 2016 Men’s Open Champion Andrew Schnell (AB) and 2016 Women’s Open Champion Hollie Naughton (ON) return with sights set on repeating. Each will face a bevy of talented and skilled squash athletes on the journey through the draw. Amongst those the 2016 Champs will have to face include Samantha Cornett (ON) who makes her return after missing the 2016 championships due to injury and 2016 Finalist, Danielle Letourneau (AB) who is focused and ready to battle again. On the men’s side Shawn De Lierre (QC), 2016 Finalist and 2015 Champion, is back, along with 2016 3rd place finisher Graeme Schnell who’s locked in keen to make his first trip to the finals.
Recent World Masters Games Men’s 70+ champion, Gerry Poulton (BC) returned to Canada just a few short days ago and headed straight to the Championship to defend his Canadian title. The return has Poulton in search of his 5th consecutive Men’s 70+ Canadian title – making sure that this is a division to keep an eye on.
Featuring matches from the Men’s and Women’s Open, court 2 will be live-streamed all week.
