The 2014 Colony Ford Lincoln WSA/PSA 5K Challenger NSA Open and the North American Junior Open are back this August as we kick off the 2014-15 squash season with a bang.  With special thanks to title sponsor Colony Ford Lincoln, we look forward to once again hosting our top young Canadian professionals as they take on touring pros from around the world on the NSA all-glass exhibition court.

With thanks to our title Sponsor Colony Ford Lincoln and presenting sponsors Squash Canada Road to the Podium Program, PACE Credit Union, Smart Centres, CCR Solutions, Harrow and Cameron’s Brewery we are thrilled to announce the addition of a 5k WSA event which will run alongside our men’s’ tournament. Canadian National Team members Hollie Naughton (#2 seed) and Niki Todd (#4) will attempt to win on home soil and will be joined in the field by Canadians Alyssa Mehta, Micaala Seth, Sophie Mehta, Danielle Letourneau, Michelle Gemmell, Dileas MacGowan and veteran Seanna Keating.

The most intriguing storyline in the men’s’ event this year will be local three-time defending champion and #1 seed Dane Sharp trying to fend off #2 seed Australian veteran Zac Alexander who has been ranked as high as #40 in the world as well as a host of Canadians including #4 seed Mike McCue, #5 Nick Sachvie, #6 David Letourneau and wildcard Josh Hollings. In the qualifying round lurks the ever dangerous Tyler Hamilton, supremely talented Western Mustangs Albert Shoihet and James Van Staveren as well Canadian University champion Cameron Seth and a host of top Ontario juniors.

The event will be staged simultaneously with the North American Junior Open, an international event featuring over 120 top junior players from Canada and the US over the August 15 – 17 weekend.
